Let’s start at the very beginning (it’s a very fine place to start!)… So when starting most projects I prefer to create (with my client or coworker) an inspiration board. Which usually translates into a 5-6 page PDF booklet with imagery, colors, patterns and elements that myself and the client have selected to communicate their brand, project or idea. For brand identities this is the very first place I start (after you fill out the new client questionnaire of course!) and it ensures we’re both on the same page as far as design goes (and I’m a very visual person, aren’t you?).

Hello, Amber! What would you say is the easiest way to make a mood board or just a cool collage? I don’t have Photoshop and honestly I’m not very good with graphic programs. I do like making these for my own projects though. These are fab!

Many of my boards have fashion/home items in them anyway just because they’re great for palettes and patterns! You can also use this clipper (https://extensions.apple.com/details/?id=com.polyvore.clipper-UKT75BV48U) to add items from places online!
Hmmm.. no photoshop.. If so I could send some great templates for photoshop for you to input images in!
Pinterest is really an interactive mood board.. I use it with clients. I’ll start a secret board with them (or on my own at first) and add the items to it I would add to the mood boards you see above! It’s a great place to collab. I also use the secret boards often when I’m on the go. I can take photos of items with my phone as well while I’m out and add them in. VERY useful for a designer on the go!
